On 17-18 September 2026, CPIP was pleased to take part in the European Justice Education & Leadership Summit in Vienna, Austria organised by Richtungswechsel together with Grow Transform Belong and Smart Corrections.

Held under the motto “Every role matters. Every voice leads,” the Summit brought together justice professionals, educators, policymakers and changemakers from across Europe to exchange perspectives on modern leadership cultures, professional development and the future of justice education. We brought our experience, perspectives, and ongoing work through initiatives such as RESIZE (Project number 101187391), PICTURES (Project number 101140185), PROMOTE (Project number 101144006), and the LiberateSkills Pact, together with our project partners in Romania, Timișoara Penitentiary and Gherla Penitentiary, sharing insights from our work in lifelong learning, professional development, and justice innovation.

The Summit created space for diverse and thought-provoking perspectives, with discussions addressing how leadership, education, innovation and professional development can contribute to sustainable change within justice systems. We were glad to contribute to these conversations and to bring CPIP’s mission and vision to light, connecting our work with broader European efforts to build more human-centred and future-oriented justice environments.

For us, the event was also an opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange experiences and identify new perspectives that can add real value to our ongoing work and future collaborations.
