The project aims to raise awareness in rural communities about the problem of air pollution, its causes, health effects and possible solutions in order to reduce local air pollution. The project focuses on rural areas due to the fact that public awareness of the problem is much lower among rural communities compared with inhabitants of larger cities. Therefore, the project responds to awareness and education gap that is the most serious within rural areas. The project focuses on fostering implementation of antismog provisions by increasing public awareness and understanding of the air pollution problem. This is the first and only project directed to the teachers and educators from rural areas and close to the big cities’ regions.
