DIALOGUE – Creative Communication Competencies for disadvantaged groups

The European partners of the project intent to introduce “dialogue” to partner organisations which work with groups of disadvantaged people. Supported by dialogue facilitators they carry out gender sensitive dialogue circles and workshops in partner countries. This way they enrich the participants with the experience of dialogical communication and behavior, of being heard, of common thinking, of undergo appreciation in acting as equals. In developing dialogical skills people and organisations get empowered. In different dialogue settings, reflection rounds and exchange partners gain intercultural experience to use dialogue methodology and dialogical behavior as tools for the groups they work with. The project work aimed at empowering disadvantaged people and groups by strengthen of equity, social cohesion, intercultural dialogue and active citizenship. Especially disadvantaged groups are excluded from implementing dialogue to be understood, to get the chance to be heard and to spell out their needs, demands and visions.

Project objectives:

  • open up learning offers in dialogue facilitating method for people that are dedicated to work with disadvantaged persons
  • introduce dialogue facilitating to various target groups which are in need for intensive support to exhaust their potential for individual development, social integration and political participation
  • utilise dialogue facilitating methodology for various disadvantaged groups and their special concerns/needs
  • start a common and mutual learning process of partners with experienced certified dialogue facilitators from Germany and Austria
