EduMed – „Bridging the gap between educational stakeholders through mediation” 

The overall goal of the EduMed project is to consolidate in a multilingual framework legal requirements, knowledge and skills, qualities and personal traits of educational mediators and elaborate training programmes for mediation and peer mediation, as well as collecting working practices in educational mediation.

The project is gathering partners from five EU countries:

  • Centrul pentru Promovarea Invatarea Permanente – Romania

  • APROXIMAR- COOPERATIVA DE SOLIDARIEDADE SOCIAL, CRL – Portugal 

 

Four Intellectual Outputs will be developed and tested within the project, namely:

IO1: Screening tool of legislation framework and services provided connected to educational mediation in EU countries with focus on partner countries 

-The main aim of the screening tool is to provide a study of the current situation on existing lawspoliciestheories and aspects of  educational mediation. 

IO2: Collection of Practices on Educational Mediation 

-Overview of the current practices and approaches in the partner’s countries used for mediation in education. 

IO3: Design and development of a training program for educational mediators ProEM 

-The training programme for educational mediators (ProEM) will enable learners to acquire professional knowledge, skills and competences to create and maintain a calm and tolerant educational environment for everyone engaged through the use of educational mediation tools.

IO4: Training Programme for peer mediation Peer ProEM 

-By educating students to be in а position of educational mediators, children and adolescents will learn the following topics: how to apply constructive methods in conflict resolution; how to apply nonviolent communication; and how to reach acceptable solutions and agreements in conflict situations.
