Empowering young people social competences and soft skills through peer mentoring
Project Number: 2023-1-IT03-KA220-YOU-000159325
The main aim of the project is to support organizsation the peer mentoring process by providing methods for prospecting volunteers among resilient youngsters and offer them tools for working with, and support their peers that are at risk of depression or social exclusion. The idea of the project is based primarily on the principle of inclusion. By promoting peer cooperation, the project reduces the competitiveness between individuals, which, especially at a young age, causes an egotistical approach to the local community. This approach is the basis of social exclusion, as it leads to the separation of individuals who are able to stand out at the expense of others who are pushed to the margins of social life by these stronger individuals. The project counteracts such behavior by promoting the idea of solidarity, cooperation and building social bonds.
