By creating original IT-based materials for developing social skills to young people affected by mental illness, YOU.PRO.ME will provide Youth Workers with a wider range of competencies and tools in order to develop social skills, knowledge and attitudes (competencies) in the most appropriate way.
The Youth Workers who interact with young people with mental health problems are our first target group: psychologists or social assistants, sports coaches or volunteers with guidance or support roles, facilitators or craftsmen who work in a community laboratory.
In this context, the project objectives are:
Deepen knowledgeabout Youth Workersneedsandcompetencies in theirworkwithyoungpeoplewith mental health problems;
Valorising therelevance of social andemotionalcompetenciesamongyoungpeoplewith mental health disease;
Create a framework of competences for Youth Workers recognized at a European level, strengthening their capacity to support socialand emotional competencies among young people with mental health disorders;
Increase the quality of informal and non-formal learning in thecaringrelationshipsbetweenyouthworkersandyoung people;
Widenthecompetencies of professionalsand non-professionalswho operate in this field;
Facilitate the access to training on social and emotional competences of young people by local communities (teachers, practitioners, etc.);
Improve thewellbeing of youngpeopleincreasingawareness of social andemotionalcompetencies in theirlife.
