As RESCALED Movement Ambassador in Romania, CPIP Romania – Centrul pentru Promovarea Invatarii Permanente team attended the European Symposium on Detention Houses, a Milestone Event organized on 21th of March 2024 in Brussels and hosted under the auspices of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2024!

We were also honoured to have moderated one of the event panel discussions on Detention Houses, focusing on the theme of “Detention Houses: A Shared Responsibility.”

 This event was a culmination of our shared mission to elevate the importance of detention houses on the European agenda. We firmly believe that shifting towards the use of detention houses instead of large prison institutions will contribute to the EU Council’s policy goals of a greener, fairer, and more inclusive future.
